235/30/18 tires on 18x9.5 wheels?

Hi, just wondering if anyone is running this setup? Im currently running 225/35/18 on my 18x9.5's and Im not a big fan of how stretched the tires look. My car is also pretty low as it is, I have 17mm spacers in rear and 5's up front, tires currently rub slightly on sharp turns. Trying to minimize this rubbing as well with a shorter sidewall perhaps.

You need a 255 as a minimum for a 9.5J in 35 profile

Sorry but that’s not correct.

OP - my 2nd set of wheels have a very mild stretch.
245/35 on a 9.5j - Michelin PSS (pic in the garage). IMO it’s questionable even calling this stretched as the rim edge isn’t visible from any angle.

However, my CSL reps (on the car) are 255/30 and are MORE stretched. (Shite Accelerate tyre from the prev owner).
It’s more immediate stretch as the sidewall is so small, whereas the 35 profile is more gradual.

If you want to see what other combos look like just go on tyre stretch.com and have a play around. Super helpful and you’ll be surprised that different brands stretch more/less than others too.

In other words, use it to see what looks OK, rather than trying to see how extreme you can go which is probably more what that site was intended for.

No problem.

Is that a custom front splitter in your profile pic?

I’m looking to make something VERY similar!

235/30 18 is too tight for a 9.5 rim
