Painting them black has taken away the definition of the 224's , Parked alongside the Z they barely resemble the same wheel & without doubt look better in original silver colour .
Not disappointed though as the contrast with the silver is just what i was after

Gloss black wrap on roof & a pair of Mm tail pipes next :driving: then its remap time :D

Cheers Darren , just getting it right before a mammoth bonding session in june , 3000 miles in 2 weeks on euro jaunt :driving:
should look well on the med

Looks good....

It is a pity the definition has gone with the black,as the 224's are a pretty looking wheel..

They suit the tourer though..

What treads did you go for in the end?

I'm afraid I am going to be a dissenting voice - they are lovely wheels and I still want a set for my Z if I ever have the money, but I'm not sure they suit the Tourer... Though it could just be because they are black ? Sorry mr wilks, butnot to my taste

I,m right with you Bing , have said they look better in silver & the black finish has lost the whole split spoke look .
Luckily for me it was more about having black wheels against the silver paint but on reflection they could have been any spoked wheel as until you get close up they are hard to distinguish .

Happy with the results though & done on budget 8)

On budget and a good job are important

They may grow on me - just had another peek, will come back in a day or two :P

I actually like them... Especially with the silver calipers.

Admittedly have less visible detail... But close up you can see them!

Looks great. Where did you get them done?

A place in Bradford , shot blasted then powder coated

How much? what company?

Bradford is only 15 mins away from me

Cost a grand total of £129.60p for all 4 & i would confidently throw down the gauntlet that nowhere in the uk will you get a better wheel refurb for less money 8)
