224 wheels, spacers & lowering springs ??

Hi all,
Recently acquired my lovely Z4MR and I was sure I was going to get some aftermarket wheels on soon after collecting, but since I’ve taken delivery, I’m really loving the original 224’s. Think they really suit the car and now thinking of just slicking with these.

What I am thinking of doing however is fitting some moderate spacers and possibly lowering (just a little - not too much) for a little bit of extra stance.

Has anyone gone a similar route, and if so any guidance on spacer size/brand and also spring size/brand for lowering. Thinking maybe 10mm spacers and also similar for lowering ?

Any guidance or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Oh and pics too 😊
This is how mine sits now. TIA 👍🏻

If your on cutters then I would get

I have had a few sets from them, always been spot on.

Eibach Pro springs are probably the ones to get for lowering.

I have H & R coil-overs on my car that are 20mm lower all round, but can drop it by as much as 40mm. They also do lowering springs that give a 25mm drop.

Anyway here's what it looks like 20mm lower no 224s but no spacers (I'm not a fan of them personally).

224s with 20mm rear spacer and 15 fronts is absolutely perfect.... sitting on bc racing coilovers ..... would recommend a 40profile front tyre if you wanna go super low to avoid rubbing... but moderate drop on 45 profile will be fine... pics to demonstrate

I ran Eibach springs and OEM dampers with 12mm spacers all round and removed the camber pins at the front to increase negative camber. I used 224s as track day wheels and CSLs for the road. It tramlined like a pig, especially with the wider 19" wheels, but understeer on turn in was reduced and it looked great without any rubbing. It cured the vague, floaty front end north of 120mph too.
I'm now using a very different setup that rubs at full lock and breaks my teeth over the smallest of divots in the road surface, but the handling on smooth tarmac is phenomenal!

get some CSL's - you wont regret it - although I need to look at lowering and get the Aero cills fitted
I think it looks about right as it is TBF.

But you might like how mine looked when I bought it, slammed on H & R coil-overs, 19" CSL Reps and spacers all round!

First jobs were to get the ride height raised so the floor didn't ground out on speed bumps and get the spacers off to stop the front wheels rubbing. It looked a bit overdone to me, and was totally impractical.
