2012 Z4 Climate Controls

Hello my name is Creighton, I am new to the forums. I have a 2012 Z4 e89 SDrive 35is. I have a question that hopefully someone can help me with. I drove to a friend's house and rode with him somewhere and when I returned and started the car, non of the climate control buttons worked. With the engine off and the ignition in what I call "ACC" mode, the blower motor works and only the center green light of the fan buttons lights up. Besides that, nothing else is happening. Also on occasion the HUD or the rising display console appears solid orange or doesn't close. Any help at all would be so very greatly appreciated. Thanks for allowing me into the forums :)
 
Yeah, if you check the negative post of the battery see if there is a date stamp, OEM battery, or printed on the label of an aftermarket battery. Anything over 5 years old could require replacement.
A failing battery can produce all sorts of issues on these cars due to the multitude of electronic modules, but not always the same things from car to car!
Another check would be to have the fault codes checked, see what comes up.
