I have a 2011 Z4 E89. A wire is broken somewhere in the roof wiring harness. The dealership wants $20K to replace the roof because the wiring harness can't be bought separately. Is there any way to disable the convertible roof warning chime? Thanks!
The only official way is to deal with the problem. Search this forum. There are are common areas prone to wire fatigue that will result in roof failures. Full replacement is overkill.
Sorry.....what? $20k dollars to replace the roof (which definitely doesn't need doing for a broken wire) has got to be more than the car is worth, surely?
Does your dealership quote for a new complete engine when the washer fluid gets low?
