What country are you in? All UK z4's have the factory alarm as standard fit.

There have been a few threads about this over the years - some dealers say no, it was a build option & not available afterwards, others say it's dealer fit & they have done it.
It's quite involved, with sensors all over the place, so likely quite expensive.
You may be better just getting a 3rd party alarm.

Y'all are crazy.. 
oke: it's pretty cheap and simple to retrofit.. just with a catch... there's no cable for the siren/tilt sensor, so you'll have to make one.

link to another of my posts on the topic... I'll eventually get around to getting a custom wire run for the siren.. have a PDC, Camera, and Comfort Access retrofit a higher priority before I get busy with it. :voodoo:
