Myself and my brother who are both Z4M owners are arranging the largest Z4 meet ever put together, all we need is for you to get as many people interested as possible, join us by posting your reply NOW..

Spa Francorchamps is one of the worlds very best racing tracks in the world, it's on our doorstep and would be mad to not make it a day to remeber, for more information please post a reply with any questions you might have.

We will post up a selection of dates when we have enough replies to make the day work, the date that has most replies will be the date that is set.

Z4MJO that a good idea. i am out in Spa in August with Bookatrack for a couple of days with my Radical SR3, done it in the Z4 and its awesome.

seeings you are new to your Z4///M what are the best bits about it and how did you spec it? i have fancied one for a long time and just wondered what you think of it after the cars you have owned?

i have a 3.5 year old 3.0 and its fun with a capital F

do you have any pics of yours and your brothers cars together?

Sounds promising - unfortunately I may be missing a dream event like this because a bunch of American bankers decided it was good for the um "economy" to lend money to folks to buy homes that otherwise don't have a pot to piss in.

This sounds interesting!! I would not want to miss out on this, If I can make ends meet you can count me in! :D :D

Spa is also pencilled in on my calendar at the moment. Either looking to do a day in May (on the Monday after the ADAC 24Hr at the 'Ring), or towards the end of the summer in August with BaT...

Man that is vague.

Who are you are? Have you organised any events like this before? Do you know when the circuit is available? Will the track be open for use? How much are you going to charge? Open pitlane?

Great circuit and I wish you the best of luck but you need to provide more info if you expect anyone to take you seriously.

count me in if the details come.. it's definitely on the list so if it's possible to arrange for sensible cost, ill come and play =)

just looking at the track on google earth.. should be fun :driving:

I am sure Z4MJO was a poster over on z4um and I have seen it posted on another site as well, could be wrong though, the name just seems familiar??

Great idea, good luck with it.

Sure I posted a reply on here already, but here's another :P Definately interested. Do have plans to go already, but if this fits in right date-wise then i'll be up for it!

Hi everyone,

Thanks for posting your replies, I was previously a member of RenaultSport when I owned a Clio V6, they had a trackday event in September 2007 at Spa, the feedback on the forums was that it was a fantastic day, I've never been to Spa before but have done plenty of research and know that if we get enough cars to enter the price should be about £149 per car excluding track day insurance and food.

All I intend on doing is the work of arranging the day with the track event organisers, each participator would pay direct to them, It's a track I've always wanted to visit and drive on so thought I would see how much interest I could generate.

I will find out minimum volume over the next couple of days and post more details then.

Please keep spreading the word and help me generate more interest.

Thanks
Z4MJO :D

I have merged the topics... this belongs in the meets/events section with your other (identical) topic.

£149 is CHEAP for Spa. normally i pay circa £250 ish be carefull of the numbers and tossers who might turn up at this price. i had a hideous expirence at donnington at christmass 2006 when a bunch of £500 bangers were being thrashed around the track with little or no regard to guys whos metal was 15-20 times more expensive. the poor sod in a new M5 got his side stoved in for good measure by a BOS being driven by a twat.

i for that matter in 2 X 20 minute sessions got 2 laps in both of them out laps before the session was stopped to recover the arses who had speared off the track for the umpteenth time! :fuelfire:

Hi - I've already posted my interest on the Pistonheads thread, sounds like a good idea.

However, and without wanting to wish too much work on you, it might be a more attractive event to more people if you are also finding / suggesting accomodation, ferry routes, and turning it into more of a Le Mans type weekend, ie cars meeting in UK to convoy over, staying together in a reasonable B&B on the Fri and having a social night out, track day on Sat, and another social on Sat night before heading back on the Sunday?

We went to Spa GP last year and stayed just across the border in Aachen, had a great time there, plenty of good bars and restaurants, and by a stroke of luck they were having a big music festival in town that weekend! We only went there as couldn't find anywhere closer over F1 weekend, but shouldn't be a problem to stay closer for a trackday weekend. It was a fairly short blast from Aachen anyway.

Depending on number of cars allowed, I could also probably get some other cars interested, or would you prefer to keep this exclusively Z4?

Info for anyone wanting tickets for the 24hr on the 2nd & 3rd Aug
