Car has been meticulously cared for with a full BMW service history (next service is due Oct 2019 / 8000 miles) MOT until Feb 2020.
Under my ownership I have had a BMW extended warranty running on the vehicle just for total peace of mind which can be taken on by the new owner if they so wish. I have only used it for a replacement of a failed rear parking sensor and to replace a rear broken coil spring at an MOT.
The only downside I can point to on the car is that the wheels may possibly need a refurb by the new owner – the paint has started to come off in small parts but it is not something that has concerned me terribly whilst I have owned.

As you can see from the pictures the car is in fantastic condition inside and out and is amongst one of the nicest on the market with the colour and spec making it stand out.

Any questions please ask.

Asking price reduced to £8500.
I will be adding on to Pistonheads & Ebay later this week.

Any feedback on the advert or car is welcome.

Hi,
New to the forum myself and am looking for my first Z4.
You have a very nice car there but nowhere could I find the engine size - unless I am going blind?
Also, you mention price has gone down but at £8.5k is it not the same as your first post?

Thanks.

The E85 Coupe only came in 3.0si and M engine variants. Obviously this is the former.

Thanks for that, I was not aware of this fact but I am new to the Z4 world and am learning something new each day.

My preference would be a manual as this would be a weekend car but I have had a 320D touring with an autobox and that was Ok as a family all purpose vehicle.

How does the Autobox in the Z4 perform? Is there the normal hesitation that I have seen in other autoboxes when you put your foot down to jump into a gap in traffic from stand still or is this not an issue?

Thanks.

When I came to buy my Z I was specifically loooking for automatic transmission as the car was going to be my daily driver.
With the increase in number of cars on the road and how busy traffic can be at certain times - I was about done with faffing around with clutch points and left leg ache.
I am glad I did go the auto route as the car has been superb with it and I can't see myself going back to manual ways now.
I have never experienced any kind of hesitation from launch and it feels like a rocket off the line when it needs to.

Obviously you need to analyse which route you want to go down. I suggest you carry on your reasearch into which Z would suit your needs (Coupe/Soft top, what size engine, what factory options you require) then visit a couple of trade dealers and take some test drives to reaffirm your decision.

I am in the process of selling my A6 and as soon as that is gone am looking to go to a two car policy and get myself a weekend toy - one that the kids dont completely ruin with crisps and sticky drinks! :(

Until then, I am keeping an eye out for a well looked after Z4C or Z4R. I drove a manual 3.0si Z4R which was not in the best cosmetic state but the engine was nevertheless sublime and had me hooked.

This one to the owners credit looks like an absolute gem.

I am stilll undecided as to whether it will be a E86 or an E89 as I have not driven an E89 and the £ difference between an E86 and the newer model E89 is not too far off.

What I do know is that is MUST be a six cylinder (which I now know all e86 are :) ) and would like a contrast in colours outside/inside. Dark (Ruby black/blue,/dark grey) on the outside and ideally red or cream on the inside.. oh and bucket seats would be lovely to have too.

I have been reading the forum for a couple of weeks and can see that good ones like this do come up so for me now its a waiting game for someone to buy the A6 first and then will probably put up a wanted ad.
