2007 Z4 Electrical Issues

I'm would like to purchase a 2007 Z4, with @ 25,000 miles, from a nearby dealer (non-BMW). I check the vehicle's CarFax report which indicated the following issues with the car just one month after being driven off the lot back in '07.

Steering angle sensor replaced
Carpet replaced
Electrical system checked
Instrument cluster replaced
Computer module replaced
Engine/powertrain computer/module checked

Should I stay away? I negoatied what I think is a very reasonable price for the car. I'm just not sure if I should pull the trigger after reading the CarFax report. I'm a little leary.

Well if its all been repaired by BMW and its done nearly 30k most of the bugs should have been ironed out. Do you get any warranty with the car?
 
Curious: how does Carfax get detail like this? Is the user submitting it, or the dealer submitting it?

Here in Australia, the equivalent services only provide the most basic information, such as whether it has been written off or stolen.
 
When reading the CarFax report, it's almost as if they're (CF) able to get info off the BMW dealer network database. You can see everything from oil changes to accident repairs. Of course, if an owner goes to another repair facility, who's off the grid so to speak, then those repairs may not appear on the CF database.

The dealer does offer a basic warranty for the car, however I believe there might still be the remainder of a BMW extended warranty which may still apply.

Well, to answer your question, I don't see any reason to stay away. Sounds like a computer board failed, and they replaced it with a new one.
This just happened on my car last week: and the replacement part (and labour) apparently comes with a 2 year warranty. Car is same as before: i.e. it seems 100%.

If a report showed an ongoing issue that was not resolved ... that's different. But that's not the case here.
