Hello I'm new to the forum and just bought a 2007 BMW z4 3.0I and can't figure out why my car doesn't have the ebrake armrest pad every photo i see of the car shows a armrest pad as standard....any body have any answers please?

The e85/e86 does not have an ebrake as understood in the UK (i.e. an electronic parking brake) and your centre console area looks completely standard. There are people who have fitted aftermarket armrests / storage behind the handbrake but these were not standard fitment and rare, in the UK at least.
Removing the centre aluminium trim is the hardest of the three aluminium trim pieces to remove because it is screwed on to the console from underneath and the whole console has to come out to remove it. There are quite a few steps which have to be performed in the correct order or else you will break something, the numerous plastic tabs and clips are brittle. You should be able to find a “how to” guide by searching the forum or YouTube or on a technical database like newTIS.

Yes, I would expect to see a rest fitted there as standard. Standard for UK-spec, but maybe it wasn't standard in all markets? Not seen one like yours before.
I don't know how the rest pad comes off, but I do know that taking the aluminium trim off does involve taking out the complete centre console, which apparently is quite a job the first time you attempt it.

I do not have part #4 as my picture shows, thanks for all the replies I guess I will be taking out the console this weekend..(yuk) I will take silver trim off that is scratched and have it vinyl rapped.
