2006 Z4M Sat Nav Langauage problems...

Lo guys,
i just got my 2006 Z4M Roadster at the weekend, its amazing!!
but...
When i got it the NAV was in engligh but parts of the computer were in french... I looked for the language option in the menu but it wasnt there... so i downloaded and updated to 32.2 and now the language option shows. BUT when i select GB it sets the lang to german... All the other langs seem to work apart from GB. It came with an unoficial 2011 Nav DVD and i tryed it with my friends 2012 DVD but still the same...

Any ideas?

Try swapping between Speed camera alerts on and off. In my z4 if they are on I see french in parts. In the m3 it's the other way around?? Side effect of non oem update discs I believe

It could also be that someone buggered up making the disc with pimp-my-nav, the weapon of choice for the Jack Sparrows of the Internet who build these things as you can incorporate POI databases into a map disc. That gives you the choice of languages in use.

I had the exact same problem with mine as he previous owner had used hooky software. The speed camera alerts sorted as above. Upgrading at the dealer with proper software sorted it out though
