I bought this in May as a hobby car and have undertaken a number of projects on it over the summer including:
  • (*) upgraded from 2.5i to 2.5Si spec, including correct 3-stage manifold and tune
  • upgraded from 6 speaker basic stereo to 10 speaker HiFi with all-OEM loom and hardware
  • added cruise control
  • installed proper wind deflector
  • fitted OEM sound generator
  • a bit of interior makeover
  • replaced OEM exhaust finishers
  • Refurbed headlamps
  • 20mm spacers to rear
I have enjoyed working on this car over the summer and had some great drives, but I need to make space for an incoming coupe.

The car itself has a forum history, having previously been owned by Phoenixboy and Nick2449.

It has been regularly serviced including most recent oil service by me in November2025.

Starts, stops, goes and handles as it should.

It is a much improved car compared to when I bought it, but still needs a few things doing:
  • There is a minor oil leak from the sump gasket.
  • Extended leather on the a-pillars could do with re-stretching.
  • Two small dents on the near side (front wing and rear wing, pictured).
  • Alloys have some non-structural curbing.
  • Air con needs a re-gas.
None of the above affect the day to day running of the car.

Included in sale:
  • genuine BMW new sump gasket including single-use bolts
  • high quality Richbrook half-cover.

I’ve seen this car a couple of times on visits and been taken out in it.
It goes very well and really howls with the sound generator.
The full leather is stunning. GLWTs @Zedebee, onwards and upwards to your next one.
PS I have some brushed aluminium trim if someone doesn’t like the red velvet. 😊

That looks like a bit of a bargain for a 2.5Si, so GLWTS. :thumbsup:

I'm looking forward to learning more about the incoming Coupe!
 
Bump - correct bass covers now fitted. Sump gasket and bolts included, and door membranes included for the keen DIYer.
