2006 to 2008 Z4 brake cooling duct concept help......

Hi their guys, since I’m a designer and love the Z I thought I could do something for the Z crowd as their isn’t much love in the aftermarket world so I did a little photo-shopping and came up with a few concepts for brake cooling ducts on the face lifted Z4 3.0I or Si,

also added a little ground effects, I’m planning on making some prototypes and would like some of your feedback on which ones you’d like to see, these would be fully functional so those of you who don’t want to do a face lift on your current bumper to the aero face or M bumper.

I prefer stock personally. The designs are good, but to me they're a little over-designed. The Z4 already has pretty heavy styling at stock, and these designs add to that.

How about changing the shape of the bumper itself? The facelift bumper has always been rather incongruous with the rest of the car imho - where the pre-facelift bumper was much more in keeping. However, the pre-facelift bumper makes the car look sad. I think option #2 is starting on the path of fixing the issue.

yea thats the problem when you touch anything thats production, the OEM manufacturer have tried many things and ususally come up with the best route, i dont have the money to change the whole bumper so adding on is the only route i can go. think of me as a guy and his garage not ESS or ACS or any big tuner

ive heard many people want ducts to direct airflow to the brakes on the non M facias and the faclifted Z4 has the spots in their that can easily be modified to work. so in essence im just seeing if its worth while making some parts for people to make funtional brake cooling vents.

most aftermarket parts are looked down on and i exspect that but if your gonna mod it then got to try and keep it tastfull.

the Z4 is in a different catigory than the 3 series and the owners are also in a different catigory so you tend to not find many things talored to the car, not to mention the production numbers.

i had over 30 different vertions and taylored it down, their not over the top but their trying not to be just their either........

its not like puting the 3 vent holes on the side of the car

but i figured it be a fun project nontheless,

yea one is black the other is a slight silver in color. you see something similar on the 3 series cars.
