2004 Z4 3.0i (Turn Signal & Window)

Hello,

I recently purchased a 2004 Z4 3.0i.

Currently, I am experiencing a weird issue with the turn signal. The light turns on and works, but the ticking sound is not always present. Sometimes, it works normally during the drive, but most of the time, it remains silent. What’s also strange is that I’ve had instances where the blinker turns on, the sound starts, then suddenly stops, while the light continues flashing both on the dash and outside. However, I have never had an issue with the blinker malfunctioning on the outside—the problem is only with the sound inside.

The other issue I’m having is that the passenger-side window has two notches when being pulled up. The first notch operates normally, stopping the window when you release it. The second notch, when pulled past the first, is supposed to raise the window automatically. Unfortunately, this second notch doesn’t work for the passenger window, regardless of whether you try it from the passenger door or the driver’s door.

Any help with either of these issues would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Passenger window just needs to be coded for one touch up. It’s very common to find it not set.

This seems to happen on mine after the battery has been disconnected, it needs to re-learn where the window stops when up. If it is that, the process is something like lower the window, raise the window by holding the button up, let go then hold the button up for a few seconds with the window shut. I have to re-learn the driver and passenger windows separately.

I've tried several different tutorials online (no one seems to have a Z4 specific video), but none have worked for me. Do you have a detailed instruction on how to do this? Would be happy to give it a try again.
