I’ve been on the fence about selling this car for a while now, but I thought I’d put it on here and see how it goes, if it sells then great if not it can stay till next year and I might give it another try in the spring.
2004 Black sapphire Alpina roadster S Lux #073 with contrasting red seats and door cards. Currently on 91469 miles with full-service history. Looking for £16250 but could be tempted by a deal for an e85 3.0si + money my way.
The car is Located in Darlington, North East England.
I purchased the Car in April of 2022 from a forum member who had the car as his pride and joy for 12 years. Prior to his ownership it was owned by a member of the Alpina forum who went by the name of JimmyJ.
As you would expect from a car that has been the pride and joy of its owners it is in excellent condition for its age and mileage. This being the higher spec Lux model it comes with the highest specification available at the time including: -
Electric heated Msport seats with Alpina logo
Xenon headlights
Climate control (ice cold)
Wind Deflector with Alpina logo
Automatic headlights
Auto dimming rearview mirror
Rain sensing wipers
Cruise control
Rear parking sensors
Multi-function Msport steering wheel
2 cup holders
Sat Nav
CD Multi changer
In addition it has the popular modification of a Stormworks gear knob and the all important stubby (whippy included for those oddballs out there).
During my ownership (approximately 5000 miles) I have done the following: -
All new Brembo discs and pads front and rear
2 new rear Michelin pilot sport tyres
Roof motor relocated to the boot.
A Gap tech roof module
2 stage polish and ceramic coating
New water pump, belts and pullies
New windscreen
The previous owner carried out lots of maintenance on the car as evidenced by the file of receipts that came along with the car as pictured below. The most significant improvement made by the previous owner was to fit a full set of Bilstein B12 damper along with eibach springs and new top mounts.
Service history is as follows: -

As most, if not all of you know the Alpina Roadster S was made in very limited numbers. Less than 400 were produced in total and of those only 167 were RHD models for the UK. This number was divided between the standard model and the higher specification Lux model. With 300 bhp on tap the performance available from the Alpina roadster is almost identical the Z4M with the advantage of significantly cheaper running costs, for example the road tax is less than ½ the price of a Z4M. At only 167 ever produced in RHD it’s much more exclusive than the Z4M too.
