Hi all,

I purchased a 2003 Z4 from a BMW dealer in Germany last week, and I was wondering if any of you have any suggestions for the modifications.

Specs: http://www.autoscout24.de/Details.aspx?id=bqlstcyk4hdl&asrc=fa

I've been looking around on this forum a lot, and most people seem to consider replacement of the runflat tyres the best mod. Also, the aftermarket Xenons seem to be popular, but due to strict legislation here in The Netherlands (the bulbs have to match the luminaires, eg for halogen there has to be a HC HR inscription, for xenon DC, DR; as well as a obligatory auto-leveling and spraying system for the lights) I think I'll pass on this one, I think I will just go for a brighter halogen bulb from Philips (Blue Vision) or Osram (Nightbreaker) instead. Lastly, I have read a lot of good things about the M-Sport seats, is it much hassle to replace the original with those? If I've missed any major, important mods pls let me know :D

Also, I have 12 months warranty from the dealership with BMW's premium selection program, won't this be jeopardy with certain mods?

Congratulations on the new Zed

Check with theh dealer if anything affects the warranty before touching the car.

Runflats re a popular change but you need the tyre inflation kit or a spare. Best when you need new tyres
Sports seats are popular but very rare to buy. Easy swap if like for like ie not adding heating or electrics.

There are lots of minor cosmetics you can do such as stubby aerial, grille colours or even various panels like the aero sideskirts. All about time, tastes and budget.

you could try putting some highend oil in your engine for a start. maybe change some spark plugs.

Hi Boomlaars,

The only changes I've made to our '03 3.0 are non-runflat tires, replacing BMW's "lifetime" manual transmission fluid with Redline, and the removal of the CDV (clutch delay valve). All of these were low cost (needed new tires anyway) and have made the car much more enjoyable.

Good luck,
Bill

which redline fluid did u put in ur trans? and is it better than the mt fluid from bmw?... :poke:
