Long story short, bought this online and trying to sort out numerous issues. First one is mileage tamper dot. Needed a new cluster to replace the one that had been altered to prevent warning lights from showing. I have read that actual mileage is stored in multiple places, is there any way to re-program the replacement cluster to rid it of the tamper dot ? I'm not looking to fudge the mileage I just want the mileage accurate with no dot. Dealer can't or won't do it, but can indies with certain equipment and software handle it ?

I can't be sure of the actual mileage when I bought it, that is why I want to retrieve the stored mileage to be put on the odometer and remove the tamper dot. Not trying to be dishonest at all so better not to insinuate. In my opinion the vehicle would be worth more with actual miles (even if higher) than low mileage with a tamper dot.
