Hello, I have a 2003 BMW Z4 2.5i with 95k miles on it. I recently took it for a spirited drive and developed a misfire, resulting in OBDII code P1345, "Misfire Cylinder 2 with Fuel Cutoff." I checked the plugs, and they were fairly fouled, so I replaced all 6 with Bosch Platinum's, the coil packs seemed fine. I reset the OBDII and went for a test drive, the car misfired again, but with an extra code this time a P0313, "Misfire Detected with Low Fuel." Apparently that could be connected to a faulty MAF, which I disconnected, and cleaned, but the car misfired both with the MAF disconnected, and cleaned.I have not since had a P0313 though, and the original P1345 has returned. It only miss's under moderate acceleration from a dead stop, once I'm rolling, I can punch it and it doesn't happen. However while driving smoothly, I hear it "hickup" between 1rst and 2nd. (Its an automatic). The car will start, and drive fine until the misfire starts, then it idles kinda rough, however if I turn the engine off and restart its fine again. Also, it will not miss while in park with the engine revving up to 6k. I swapped the coil's on cylinder 1 and 2, and though the car continues to "hickup" I cannot get the SES on again, so I cannot confirm if the misfire changed cylinders.........yet. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks!
