Hi

After two years of proud ownership, I am reluctantly selling my beloved Z4.
In the two years I've owned it I can honestly say it's been an absolute pleasure to run.
I spent a lot of time looking for the right car for me, and I believe i found it. I think anyone who sees the car will feel the same.

Details are as follows:

85756 miles on the clock at the time of writing. I plan only to give it a spin around the block once a week until it finds a new home.
MOT'd until October
Next service in 12675 miles
Sterling grey
Black interior
Aero pack (body kit)
Heated, electric memory seats
6 CD premium sound system
Sat nav
Sport button, air con etc.
2 keys.
Rear parking sensors
18 wheels refurbed last week and look stunning. Tyre's were new all round last year (non run-flats which transformed the car) so loads of tread left.

Everything on the car works as it should, and feels like a car with half the mileage.
A few things that have been done to the car that I believe are common faults, and so you dont have to worry about them...

Coolant expansion bottle replaced
Rear springs replaced (previous owner)
Rocker cover gasket replaced

Ive checked the roof drains regularly, and not once has it had any trapped water, which can cause the roof motor to fail.

Interior is in excellent condition. No tears in the leather. Over all very clean.
Exterior is again great, with only a few marks which has to be expected on a car its age.

I will be very sad to see it go and it will make someone a very happy Z4 owner.

£6500

Any questions (im sure i will have forgotten something) please ask away.

Looks lovely full aero pack which is a bonus too, the diffuser is quite rare!

This should sell fairly quick

stupid question but any way I can buy the seats from you @.@

God loves a trier but that's bloody ridiculous!

Back to reality, this looks a lovely car and a fair price considering the specification. This will sell quickly I reckon.

Lovely Zed. Should sell well.

Any reason for £6500' on here and £6100 on piston heads?

He must have changed it as it was £6100 yesterday i thought :|

Well I'm guessing one has changed, but so soon after listing and more on the forum than public?

I'm sure it'll go down on here shortly, even though as an '03 customised Zed owner I'd like it to remain high and sell quickly :)

Just to clear things up...

Yes I have changed the price, and the reason for that is purely because I didnt do my research properly when putting a value on it.
There are cars on ebay with lower spec, and higher miles for well upwards of 7K.
Most are dealers who will no doubt supply some form of limited warranty, so I in no way expect mine to fetch that kind of money.

So I upped the price to a figure I felt was still very good value for the buyer, whilst being able to feel like I'm not giving it away.

Sorry for the confusion.

And I appreciate the compliments on the car everyone. Thanks

Don't think upping to £6500 is at all unreasonable , it represents very good value for buyer & seller & even at £7000 i'm not sure it would be Ott :?
There was a similar situation recently with a guy who joined to sell his white coupe & offered it at a reasonable (not cheap & not expensive) ask price .
Couple of comments later on the price & up it went to dealer money
Ultimately a owner can & should sell for whatever they feel happy with receiving for their vehicle

Very nice example and deserves to sell well

But I can't see the point of upping the price tbh, you were always going to deal at £6k so any buyer knows you are still going to deal at £6k all you have done is reduced the number of people who will find it when searching or bother to travel and view it. £5999 and no offers would bring it in to the "up to £6000" search category and you would probably have trousered the £6k you wanted already.

There seems a noticeable structure appearing with buying/selling cars , prices seem cheaper on AT than Ebay & Pheads
For that reason i would search for a car on AT but sell through Ebay &only use PH for searching not selling as i have found the last 6/8 cars ive sold through Ebay prety swiftly for good money
imo if the OP listed his car with classified advert at £6750 i think he could get close to that amount over the 30 day listing , he would obviously be thrown many silly offers but that goes with the territory .
Leave it another 4/6 weeks & demand along with value will be heading down , jmo of course
Out of curiousity Ewazix what would you say the value of the OPs car was currently ?

Some good points either way.

The long and short of it is, I felt like I would be hard done by at £6100. I think its nearer a 7k car, so £6500 just seemed like something I can live with.
The whole point in negotiating a deal is that hopefully both parties go away happy. And I think at that, they would.

Time will tell I guess!

It's a great example from the pictures, taking in to account the miles, slightly cheaper market in the North of the UK and it being a 2003, when compared to others in the market looking to actually achieve £6k has to be about right? there are lots of people ASKING more but they are still for sale or are undoubtedly being haggled down. It's just a personal thing but fixing a price competitively and sticking to it always sells quickly for me. I think you are right about timing, once the summer hols really start sales will fall off, financial uncertainties may strike and the current summer bubble will be gone. Plus book/trade/WBAC valuations would be tear jerking even now
I'd trouser £6k and be well happy for sure but the OP may feel differently as it's clearly a unique example with the mods.
