I'm selling my 2003 BMW Z4 2.5i SMG Grey E85 with 72k miles. It has:

Good bits:
- Cat C but fully repaired (by official BMW garage, over 5k spent by previous owner)
- New engine with only 40k miles on it
- SMG gearbox, very sporty
- Black leather heated seats
- Sterling grey
- 4 brand new tyres (Falken Ziex) - less than 100 miles on them!
- Brand new lowered springs
- All paperwork at hand
- Roof fully operational and excellent condition
- Aftermarket M6 wheels (scuffed but good condition, see pics)
- Spent £550 two months ago to repair various small bits to pass MOT
- 53 plate
- Had full oil change, incl new gearbox and diff oil!
- Bodywork in great condition
- 2 keys

Bad bits:
- While at the shop (I drove it onto their yard), the steering column 'went' (unable to communicate with control unit), a specialised firm the shop engaged is asking £650 to repair it, this includes a warranty on the repair (only thing left to pass MOT!!!)
- Small water leakage that is repairable

So it's a bit of a project. It's located in Kirkcaldy, Scotland, UK. Looking for £1400. I'll need to make a decision asap.
I have various unfitted parts (new front wishbones, etc) that you get for free.

What attracted you to this car in the first place? Surely if it was a project, you're going to stick with it and see it through ? At least in order to get some satisfying miles under your belt ?

Like flogging a pig with warts  breaking the way to go for max £ but otherwise it sound s a reasonable ask for someone handy with the spanners
Btw , , its sterling grey , not space & the alloys are M6 reps

Ps / anyone tempted i know a guy who will collect & courier the car to UK address for around £250

A picture in the dark of a 'project car' is not the best way to attract attention to it buddy.

You'll need some up to date pics of it in it's current state to show it's 'true' appearance.

That's not a bad looking car at all.

Hopefully you'll attract more interest in it with these decent pics.

As above though, you'd make more money parting it out if you had the skill/space to do so.

If you do decide to start to strip it, let me know how much you want for the clear 3rd brake light either as a price for it alone or swap with my red one plus some £'s your way???

I don't have time nor expertise to remove and sell the parts.

ehh ? ....You bought a CAT car as a project and you dont have the time or expertise to take it apart ?
How the hell were you going to put it back together in the first place ?

Having a baby is a life-changer. Plus I changed jobs, hence a lot less time on my hands. I'm sure I'd manage the technicalities of breaking it (which would be a great shame).
