2003 - 3 litre - slight misfire

Did 260 miles today on day trip to France. Furthest I have driven it and at consistent high speed (80mph)

Great day, but noticed a very slight misfire/hesitation both at low and high speed in fact at all speeds, whether foot on pedal or on cruise. Noticed a bit of a burble from exhaust when re-entering earths' atmosphere. Has 26k on clock.

If you have ever had missed heart beats, you will know what car feels like.

First thoughts are fuel probs? i.e. dirty feed? Or could it be famous coil problem? I do notice from near side rear an almost imperceptible buzzing noise on accelerating, is that the fuel pump operating? Obviously stops when decelerating.

Under warranty, only had it since Feb. So, going back to Sytner to sort out.

I get this on the off side, only really notice it with the top down accelerating from relatively low speed (so wind noise doesn't drown it out)... think I'll try and pin point it one day soon

Maybe it is the off-side, but only my near-side ear hears it? :D

hehe... when driving, it sounds to me like it's coming from quite near the screen on the off-side... but listening while driving isn't exactly the most accurate of locators :)

Buzzing noise can come through sound generator, which is to your nearside.

Tried unplugging the DISA flap power feed and seeing if it goes away? I was first drawn to it's noise the same way, around 2000rpm or so it buzzed quite a bit and more noticeable with sound generator foam removed a lot!

DISA flap replacement (cos it was worn) removed so many weird rattles/buzzes from my engine!

Not sure about the missing though... hmmm...
