Evening folks -

The time has come to sell my Z4. I’ve had it since July 2011. I’ve only managed to put ~3k miles on the car since having it.

So, it’s a 2003 (Sept 2003) 3.0L BMW Z4 SE. It has around 94k miles on it, and a full service history – part BMW, part Independent.

Since owning the car, I’ve had an Inspection 2 service carried out, new alternator & aux belt, complete set of coilpacks, upgraded the standard Xenon bulbs (makes a huge difference), a new full set of Falken tyres and a custom exhaust built.

Unfortunately, due to buying a house, I’m having to give up my pride and joy. What can I say about it, it’s a fantastic car to drive, its reliable, starts first time and always makes me smile.

Please find below a list of specs for the car.

As you can see, a lot of money has been spent keeping this car healthy. I can honestly say, you can feel it when you drive it.

I am located in South East London or Kent.

In order to test drive, please provide a proof of insurance, else you will be taken for a test drive.

Hi Majeric,

I'm definitely interested as I'm in the market for a 3 litre :)

The only thing that I'm concerned about are the "relatively" high miles at 90k. Now I know that miles don't necessarily show whether a vehicle is good or bad and that cars are generally designed to about 155k miles anyway (250k km). Generally vehicles with over 100k miles become rather difficult to sell on I guess. Anyone have any experience with a similar aged Z4?

My other small gripe is that people have been recommending the M-Sport seats. I'm guessing I could find some off the bay and swap them in if I ever felt that way inclined!

Furthermore, what is your experience on additional insurance premiums with the exhaust modification?

What is the status of the roof motor? Been replaced? Drainage holes checked?

I'm based in warwickshire so Kent is a fair way so I'd have to be pretty convinced before coming to take a look :)

Cheers,

Simon.

Hi Simon,

As long as the car is maintained, mileage shouldnt be concern, i've seen quite a few 100k+ cars sold.

With regard to the exhaust, i had to pay an extra £30 on top of my premium, that was with admiral.

Roof motor is in perfect condition, i've cleaned out the drainage holes a fair few times, so that shouldn't be a concern.

I'm also based in London, so you dont need to venture all the way down to kent.

Car is due for an MOT soon, so will get that done next weekend.
I am really going to miss this car......but excited to be buying a house (not so excited about driving my wife's 1.2 206 :( )

You're welcome to give me a call if you want to talk about the car.

Thanks

Rajiv
