Hi all,

Toying with moving on my Z4. TBH it's a bit of a waste for me, I get the train to work daily so it only gets used at weekends and then I find with just 2 seats it gets left on the drive. I often take it out at the weekend just to give it a run (not a bad thing I know). Toying with selling it and getting an E46 M3 as with 4 seats would be a better proposition as a second car that the whole family can fit in.

I think it's quite rare in terms of the spec, mileage and previous owners, so here goes.

2003 3.0 SE (Sept 2003). Factory options:

S302A Alarm system
S345A Chrome Line Interieur
S380A Hardtop-preparation
S387A Wind deflector

S431A Interior mirror with automatic-dip
S441A Smoker package
S459A Seat adjuster, electric, with memory
S493A Storage compartment package
S494A Seat heating driver/passenger
S502A Headlight cleaning system
S508A Park Distance Control (PDC)

S540A Cruise control
S609A Navigation system Professional
S677A HiFi System Professional DSP
S692A Preparation, BMW 6-CD changer I-bus
S704A M Sports suspension

It's Silver.

It started life as a demonstrator, hence all the options. After that it was owned by the previous owner, a mature lady owner who owned it right up until August 2012 when I bought it. It has covered just 39000 miles in that time. Yes not a typo, 39000..... I think it's primary use by the previous owner was trips to the golf course and local towns for lunch (she was a 'well heeled' owner  ) I have covered just 3000 miles since I bought it.

Since I have owned it the alloys (ellipsoids) were fully back to the metal refurb'd at Lepsons and are still mint. New rear tyres (vreds) only about 2000 miles on those, fronts are Bridgestone RF and only about 4000 miles on those, so both have tons of tread left (I will measure them later). New brake discs and pads all round (OEM disks and Textar EPads) last March. It wasn't due a service but I did an oil and filter change, air filter and cabin filter anyway for peace of mind just after I bought it. It has mainly BMW SH apart from the most recent which was a local garage near the owner. I've had no problems at all, apart from the usual cracked 3rd rear light (replaced with a clear one and the all important softer springs). Wipers were slightly erratic when I got it, easily fixed by the how-to on here. Got a pukka BMW softop cover off someone on here and that has helped keep the roof nice and clean and protect the motor....

OK I'm rambling a bit as this was supposed be a quick 'what do you think.' Never been one for photos, will take some if and when I decide to put it up, but hey it's a pretty much stock silver E85, you all know what they look like

So I think it's quite rare in terms of mileage, spec, previous owners (and the type of owners...) which were the main points for me when I bought it. I was thinking based on that it's worth £6k. Grateful for opinions as it will help decide what my budget would be if I go the M3 route....

Can testify to how tidy this car is! Is it an auto or a manual Richard? I can't remember.

It's a manual Rob. If I do decide to move it on I might be coming your way for that polish up session I never treated myself to

Ohh lovely, I'm tempted by it myself, low miles would do me a favour with all the driving I'm doing of late.

I'd need to sell mine first and I'd want to yoink the seats back out of it.

Interesting. Was looking at something much newer, but at that mileage... And £6k sounds fair. Would love at least one pic though.

Here's one my son had on his phone.
There are also a few shots on the Kent cruise threads from last year
