2/8? Speakers not working..

Speakers in door (the ones about halfway down, not the ones near the mirrors) aren't working on my z4. The odd thing is the smaller ones near the door mirrors both work on the left and right, yet the ones a little lower down both don't work on both doors. Do they only work on the upgraded speaker packages?. The ones in the footwells are ok, as are the ones behind the headrest. I got a z4 si sport 2006 coupe.. Anyone else seen this problem? I've only found 8 speakers so far... Are there anymore?

If you don't have one of the upgraded Audio packages then those speaker faceplates are for show only. Nothing behind them.

Ahh, that explains it. Shame, but good to know they're not broken. So I guess that's 6/6 working then :D

I did think BMW had done well so far to eliminate 'placeholders' for option components. This is the first I've noticed so far.
