2.8 hesitation

Just finished running it in and have tried a few flat road runs from stop to 3rd.

I have noticed that when I pull the clutch from still in 1st and the car just starts to move the engine power dips.
It does this in any mode sports and sports+ which sports+ would take out power kill from traction control etc.

So I stop and try again. Do it again sometimes it will dip, other times it will keep the power. I have already noticed that I have to rev the engine a lot more than the previous zds. The dip is just as the engine is biting so the cars starting to move but not full clutch, and no its not over 5K revs so not the limiter. I have never noticed this on the other zds, other than traction control help.

I have stalled the engine a fair few times but I put that down to going back to manual from auto, but thinking about it I think I get this dip in power at lower revs and load which possibly stalls the engine say in 2nd at slow 10mph.

Its like petrol starvation

I test drove the 2.0i yesterday and what I noticed with a zed is that u drive at a much higher speed in each gear. In other cars when I would change to 3rd gear the zed wouldnt have it, it wanted to stay in second gear for longer. I think 10mph in second is too slow for that gear hence why it may stall.

No matter how economical u want to be, this zed seems to love higher revs. Hopefully other zed owners can share their experience.

well I can easily pull from still in 2nd. in 6th drive and pull in traffic at 25, infact its quite good at 30 in 6th.
But come on no turbo its still a 2.0l car very light so should not hesitate.

Now turbo kicks in in at 1,300 rpm if im in 1st clutch in revs up past 4K pull clutch out car pulls then dipps power somethings wrong. What rpm should I be pulling for full turbo spin 7K,dont think so, when above 4K and let clutch go the revs wont drop that low to drob the turbo off!!!

If im in 2nd moving at 10mph then put the accelerator down car stalls somethings wrong.

Notice today reversing up my drive, once up I was not quite in the right place so clutch in let car move forward back down drive to realign then pull clutch put some power down to move back up the drive hesitation.

In fact pulling right from a T junction on friday the hesitation was quite long, its like traction control when you try to spin the wheels, so power is cut for a period of time, but I am not in a position to be putting that much power to the wheels, or I may be wrong, this car is way more powerful than my last 3.0. but this is getting me a bit nervous, when I expect it to pull and move it should not be limping me.

Its like gasping for air or juice.
