2.5si vs 3.0si - two year difference, one has half the milage - thoughts?

If its the £8000 3.0si in the classified, I think it's overpriced at £8000. MOT runs out in two months' time and at the last MOT it needed new rear brakes and there is no mention of the perished tyres or bushes being changed with him detailing other work he's done since owning it.

I'd want a stack full of invoices with that car for that price. I get that it's got a very lovely interior but I think it's at least £1000 overpriced.

“sport button for increased power” - I haven’t heard that one before.
Pulling away from a junction in the 2.5 auto is not quick, sport button changes down quicker without flooring the accelerator, if you look at torque output of the engines there is a big difference

We're talking about manuals here.

It sharpens the throttle response so you get more throttle opening for a smaller pedal movement, but flat out stays the same!

I believe it also adds a bit of weight to the steering if you have EPAS - so any E85/86 apart from Ms and maybe Alpinas?

eBrooker, I should be around most of next week so feel free to PM me if you want.

I'd have a good look at the MOT history online, and would ask for details of dates and mileage when it was serviced and any other jobs done. You can't get much more from asking because if you ask about condition any seller is going to say "good"!

Better to see the car and form your own opinion.
