2.3 iDrive ride/handling - failed rear bush?

I've had my Z4 for about 2 months now, and am generally loving the car - although I have noticed that the near side rear is very troubled when cornering and hitting any imperfection in the road - the car squirms sideways slightly. In fact, generally on a rough road (there are plenty in Devon!) the ride from the rear isn't pleasant (maybe I should slow down a bit!). In comparison with my S2000 that I traded in, its awful! However, I still love it :D

I did look for some other threads on this, but couldn't find anything - is this 'standard' handling (I guess its not a sophisticated as the 3.5/Ms), or are there any bushes that are a common fault? Mines a 2009 but only done 20,000 miles - I've not seen it on a ramp yet! Its got the standard 17" wheels on it.

Any experiences that people could share?

Thanks

hmm could be a failed shocker? I can't imagine any bush would have deteriorated in 20k miles and 6 years, but happy to be proven wrong :)

Possibly, just went through an MOT though (not that that guarantees anything)! I probably need to get my hands dirty and find out!

Around 38k I replaced my rear shocks with I think Konis (Anyway they were yellow).
As I had a problem with the wheels skipping and traction light coming on, on local country lanes where there was lots of loose chippings.
Also pulling away cold the rears would slip and wheels bounce.
All cured with replacement shocks.
Rarely see traction light on.
Could be just the tyres though, as if the RFT, they seem hard rubber.
I went from std. 17 inch to Goodyear Asy 17 inch, then to 18 inch std, and tramlining is back.
