Stumbled across this today, no surprises, which model will it replace though as it is between the 2.3 and 3.0 in power @ 236 bhp

I don't think it replaces anything directly, but expect to see the sDrive30i get dropped and replaced with this sDrive28i, which should also do way with the sDrive23i. At 236hp it does fit into the middle.
 
Yeah I think you're right. Maybe a detuned version might find it's way into the range too. At some point a 20i will be introduced, maybe a 1.6 turbo?

Good thread on ZPost too, seems that they might combine this engine with the 8 speed auto 'box. ///M Power is sexy but that would make for a very nice "real world" car*

What do we think price wise? I guess this might come as part of the facelift too? Usually, at facelift, the entry level model becomes cheaper so I'm thinking the 28 may be under £30k. What does everyone else think?
 
Don't think it'll be priced less than the 23i, would say maybe inbetween the 23i and the 30i, around £32k?
