I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEEEEE IT!!
Have put 350 miles on it since Friday. Mixture of "Jacques Cousteau diving boots" driving, and Granny driving returning about 30mpg on average.
Heads have turned as I wafted along the street. You can sense the scarlet colour coming before you hear the car.
With roof down, you get a nice rorty note on acceleration.
Everything is so smooth in comparison to the old Zed. I loved the old Zed, it was what it was if you see what I mean.....a high powered go kart.
But this?, comfy, refined, well screwed together, a pussy in normal drive mode. Put it into sport or sport + and matron lifts her skirts, shows her bloomers and rips them off! (I knew I'd get matrons bloomers in somehow, and I never even went to Eton)
It looks stunning in scarlet. It seems to accentuate every line every atom, every shade and nuance of colour. Even if it never moved, I would simply gaze at it.
It doesnt tramline. It thuds, but does not shudder over larger road imperfections. Paddle shifters, although counter intuitive are great. Got the hang of them and gear changes are simply thud, thud, thud, like a bloody Bofors gun...no messing or shilly shallying You want a gear? you got it...bang....'ave it! next, come on driver keep up, wake up and smell the coffee.
I used shifters going into roundabouts to get into the gaps safely. Normal mode would maybe leave you vulnerable if a chav mobile wanted to come from right field and muscle you to see what mettle you have.
iDrive is brilliant, easy to master.
If I could change something? I'd make the normal/sport/sport+ buttons more visible, more in line of sight.
And, to cap it all? I became a Grand Pappy again today for 2nd time. Hello to little Daniel Peter "Petach" who weighed in at 9lbs 7oz.
