1st gear showing changes at 6500 in sport, 7000 in 2nd

Is this normal in sport mode / sport suspension ? 35iS DCT

The car redlines in 2nd gear at 6900/7000 but changes at about 6500 in 1st .... is it just that the tacho is not showing what the engine is doing as it revs too quickly for the tacho to show it ?

I looked as the car felt like it was changing early but everything else seems fine. Foot is fully to the floor, gearbox in sport and suspension also.

Max revs doesn't mean max power. It will change at a point it can deliver the max torque and HP. The turbos are the biggest player and hindrance here. Perfectly normal.

Thanks. I went out and it was behaving differently ... the air is now cooler as is my oil temperature so maybe a number of variables in play
