19inch "OEMS" + Pirelli PZ4 7mm SOLD

Way too many wheelsets on the go so listing these virtually brand new wheels finished in a sparkle graphite grey with almost full tread Pirelli PZ4 which imo are easily as good as PS4 Michelin .
All 4 unmarked & covered under 1000 miles plus
Fitment details
fronts 8.5j et 35 with 235 35 19 tyres 7mm
rears 9.5j et 35 with 25 35 19 tyres 7mm
Now the interesting bit the rears are runflat the fronts are non runflat but i can guarantee after much trialing on various surfaces varying speeds that its impossible to tell the difference .
Clearly tyre tech has moved on massively from the original Bridgestone rft . these are a world away from them & after trying them out i wouldn't hesitate to fit them again
They will fit E89 E85 E86 though a lowered car may get rubbing on front under compression .

I'm in Lancashire for collection or Harrogate weekdays is possible for the next few months

So help me out with the wheel sizes here.

I’m currently running OEM 8Jx18 ET47 at the front. If I switch to 8.5x19 ET35, there is an extra 1/4” (6.35mm) of wheel either side of the centre line but the reduced offset of 12mm will actually inboard the face of the wheel by 5.65mm. Maybe a spacer is required.

Switching from 8.5Jx18 ET50 to 9.5x19 ET35 at the rear, there is an extra 1/2” (12.7mm) of wheel either side of the centreline but the reduced offset of 15mm will inboard the face of the wheel by 2.3mm. Hardly noticeable, I guess.

It seems counterintuitive that wider wheels result in a narrower track. Is my maths correct or have I misunderstood the way wheel sizing works?

Errrrrr put simply no your maths isn't correct & yes you must have misunderstood

Compared to oe 108s, mv2,s 107s etc this set would see the front wheel face sit 18mm further out & rears sitting 27mm further out so wheel spacers most definitely not required

you're almost right, except a lower offset pushes the wheels out not in.

so the fronts are 6.35mm wider either side, and 12mm further out, resulting in a total widening of 18.35mm.

rears are 12.7mm wider each side, and 15mm further out, for a total of 27.7mm - definitely noticeable!

Lovely set of wheels BTW - if they dont sell on here, they're perfect fitment for E9x BMWs as well.

They are a lovely wheel, if only they were silver, just feel they're a bit too dark for my taste against a dsb coloured car or I'd have jumped on them ..Shouldn't hang around long at this price

you're almost right, except a lower offset pushes the wheels out not in.

so the fronts are 6.35mm wider either side, and 12mm further out, resulting in a total widening of 18.35mm.

rears are 12.7mm wider each side, and 15mm further out, for a total of 27.7mm - definitely noticeable!

I was first in line on these and came very close to getting them for mine, only the potential arch rub on a lowered car put me off, because as you say, they look class on the coupe.
