I know its not much help but ive just had 2x 18" Bridgestone RFTs fitted at the rear, total was £460 all in, so £230 for an 18" id say you should be able to get a 19" for sub £300 fitted.

Hiya if your close to Manchester I use "Hyde Road Tyres" brilliant ! Cheap ! And great guys do all the set up and stuff ! PM me if you want the number

18's are much cheaper presumably because they're more common. 19" can be anywhere between £250 and £320 each dependent on width. My fronts were £240 each and rears £290 each (Pirelli P Zero) from a local fitter (event tyres).

That's before I moved to non run flats which shaved £60 per tyre minimum.

One rear is being replaced under insurance. Only covers up to £300 so I have to pay the difference. They recommended I change the other as it is near end of life.

Been quoted £318.32 inc vat. Could I haggle and get it cheaper? It doesn't need doing just yet but prob less than 1k miles left on it.

Blimey! Echoing Maniac Event Tyres have always been the cheapest I could find.

One of the reasons I deliberately choose the 20i Sdrive Non M sport was to avoid the tyre bill. I spent 5 years with and E92 330d with 19in runflats and found the fear of puntures in non repairable RFTs detracted from the experience. I know tyres have gone up ovet the last 18 months but didnt realise it was that much as I used to pay around £260 each for the rears

Run flats are repairable depending on the position of punture !

Yes RFs are repairable but your problem might be finding someone to do the job bearing in mind they have no idea how long or at what speeds the tyre has run when flat.

Tim.

I'm certainly glad I took out the tyre insurance. This is the third tyre I have had on it so if I have to finally cough up for one I can't complain. At least I know they weren't taking the Michael with the quoted price.

You are right in that technically RFTs are subject to the same repair processes and restrictions as non runflats, but in my experience Tim is also right in that Ive not found a reputable garage willing to repair them as they are concerned that they have no way of telling how far and fast they have been driven on when flat. By repairing them, garages are concerned that if the tyre fails post repair as a result of being driven on when flat, they will be liable

Don't Know what you call a reputable company I had mine repaired by HiQ at a cost of £14 since done 3000 miles on it with no problems
But if people want to fork out £200+ everytime so be it :?

I replaced my 2 rear 19" tyres (296 wheels) on my E89 a few months ago.

I bought 2 x Bridgestone Potenza RE050A (BMW) 255/30 R19 Y (91), Run Flat, Reinforced from http://www.blackcircles.com/

It was £546 for the two including fitting = £273 per tyre (including fitting).
