18" m3 v8 wheels for sale....

i always get questions on these wheels as they are extremely rare as no-one ordered them with their v8 m3......everyone went for the 19s, these are lightweight and made by cromodora in italy ( not to be confused with the very similar looking 219 made by bbs) They are very aggressive in terms of fitment and require a track biased setup for them to work but they look gorgeous on the car, and literally fill the fenders to the brim, the concave to these rims is something to behold and even better an O.e wheel

anyway i stumbled across a totally refreshed set referred to a very high standard they are gorgeous !! so if anyones interested heres the link!

Am I the only one who cringes when I see freshly painted alloys photographed whilst resting on gravel or concrete though? :roll:

i don't think are 1800 new tbh.... if you was to order a new set today your talking much more than 1800, i did some digging when i purchased mine and bmw quoted 2400? not saying they are worth that but you can't get them new for 1800 quid unless you was getting some trade pricing . Either way they are expensive!

Strange, I looked/priced them earlier and it was close to £400 for the fronts and £500 for the rears. Must have been looking at the wrong size/model of wheel (18" style 260 for the e9x M3) - although I'm sure I just pasted in the part numbers :headbang:

Just double checked and they're £507 for the fronts (36102283750) and £555 for the rears (36102283751). So £2124 before you negotiate any discount.

Prices seem to switch between incl/excl. VAT - so that may be where my initial error crept in.

Those prices are from the BMW online parts site.
 
I've just double checked and it comes to 2318.42 all in...

Total rim cost is 1932.02 + 386.40 VAT .

not sure why anyone does that it really peeves me!
 
Beedub, any idea of the weight of these? Quite like the look but was about to go for BBS-CH-R or possibly one of the Apex options most likely ARCs. Any thoughts? Still trying to decide. 18" sizing.

the fronts are 22lb rears came in at 23.5lb. For oem very good. the BBS ch range are notoriously heavy, the APEX are down to like 19lbs in 18" sizing so very very light.
 
for something totally different id probably go with mono block forged wheel.... The Mesh CSL type wheel is beyond played out now so its nice to be different, personally apex are about as good as it gets for the money and i believe the a flow form cast too...
 
I've been tempted to change my CSLs for some 18" wheels but it's hard finding some that look right. It's between ARC8 and 260m for me.

Do the 260m need camber adjustment to make fit?

Either way I think these are a bit pricey, considering you can get a top quality refurb for £300 I'm sure you could find a straight set for less than £1300 and you'd have a better idea of their provenance.

these will need a total track biased alignment to fit they will not work otherwise.
