Following Goodwood 160 cracking E types are doing a coastal tour in aid of prostate cancer UK, they were in Cornwall yesterday, staying in Somerset tonight and on to Tenby, up through Wales to Blackpool and on-wards around the UK. There will be some well known cars and drivers, worth seeing and supporting if you get a chance

I haven't found the actual route but leaving W. Somerset in the morning and heading for Tenby they must be using one of the bridges (unless they risk venturing in to the Forrest')

I caught sight of some of the tour near Bridgwater today but like a dummy hadn't charged my camera battery so didn't get any quality pics :headbang:

Anyway the eight cars I saw were a great sight and led by 848 CRY being one of the E types from the original Italian Job

I would imagine the route to be secret to avoid any potential incidents and avoid the need for police involvement in traffic and spectator management at anywhere but the end points

Would be great sight to see static or driving

We've already have one close shave.....as I was handing him over to Markeg yesterday three was an E-type in the car park, which the bear did a double-take on. Then a group of Triumphs turned up so we just locked him in the car for security until they'd gone :D

...... and if you love the E type this is when it nearly all went wrong at Goodwood last year. CUT7 the one-off factory E type 'low-drag' lightweight coupe (possibly the most coveted E type in existence) took on a £30 million Ferrari GTO 250 and it all went pear shaped :o

The low-drag Coupe story, the best looking E type ever? Born the same year as me but wearing rather better
