There are no parking brake shoes on an E89..the rear disc brake pads are moved by an electro mechanical jack screw to push the pads against the disc for parking..its very unlikely that the pad material has seperated from its back plate..simple procedure is to replace both pads..suggest you get an appropriate Indy who knows E89s to do this job..

thanks, this is about the only thing left that's not been replaced, however it does seem to held in firm.

I cant seem to find the part number for the rear left, any ideas appreciated and I will get that replaced

thank you, will get some new pads
 
My car came with slippers and a pipe, much more civilised.

Mind you the pipes a bit of challenge roof down.
