Here is a summary of year one ownership for my 2016 35i with 6K miles: The car continues to be a pleasure to drive especially since the winter weather has been warm in Texas (high for today in 78F).

Service items
- Aligned during month one. Slight drift to the right since delivery
- Rear shock mount rattle issue resolved on month ten
- Battery replaced at month eleven due to slow starts. Probably need to drive the car more.
- Rear tires are not as grippy as when new. Tread life is about 50% on the rears.
- Replacing the console mobile phone phone tray/cup holder with an EU model plain tray has been great for storing items
- Standard radio is fine since most of the sound fidelity is lost with my 80% top down driving
- it likes fuel, but not a major issue since this car is just a weekend cruiser and fuel is inexpensive now ($1.69 a gallon for V-Power premium)
- Replacing the interior bulbs with OEM LEDS was a good move
- I did install the 35is black headliner and black lower front grills from a 2.8. I got tired at looking at the white headliner in a car with a black interior and the original silver lower grills were a bit much.

What options would I order differently today?
- No nav. Tired of the ongoing up & down activity with the pop up screen. Distracting nuisance.
- No bumper collision sensors. The rear sensors usually do not alert when backing out near a 4WD truck or large high sitting SUV (lots of these vehicle types in Texas)

Good to hear you're enjoying your 35i. We've had our 35i now for almost 4 years and it's still fun to drive, I only wish we had your fuel prices here in the UK!

I will trade you our fuel prices for your PM. The US may enter into the dark ages if a certain republican candidate with funky hair is elected here in November.

I think the whole World is holding it's breath and thinking who the hell would vote for him :headbang:

The way things are going here, the PM might be available for another job.

Just getting spares for BMW's might be problem in the future..but I think China will solve that problem!
