Ok, I've had the car now 2 1/2 weeks, got it from Sytner in Nottingham. As you can see in the picture the wheels look like they have been refurbed all ready and they have no polished lip. After giving them a good clean I came across this behind the lip on the inside front wheel.

The cars a 57 plate so its still under warranty. My only problem is that I live in Sutton in Surrey, so my local dealer is Coopers/ Croydon or Bansted, do I got to them or do I need to contact Styner. Is this something they are likely to replace because some of the other wheels have some bubble under the paint

If's it a 57 plate they are under warranty still unless the previous owner had them refurbed. Use you local dealer warranty wont be an issue, I bought my last two BMW's from dealers over 25 miles away but use my local dealer for servicing and warranty issues who are 1/2 mile away.

I'm trying to get my 108's replaced under warranty to but they arent as bad as yours and the corrosion isnt visible unless you remove the wheel.

Thanks I will pop down there tomorrow, I should have inspeceded it better when i went up to collect the car, I was to excited so it sort of slip my mind.

My local dealer has said because the wheels have been refurbished they are no longer covered by the manufactures warrenty. So I have to take it up with the dealer I brought the car from. :headbang:

How typically unhelpful, I bet all their 108 equiped cars on the forecourt have also been refurbed...

A quick call to BMW HQ maybe in order as this would have been sold as a AUC (Approved Used Car), see what they say, they may just confirm what you are being told, but it's worth double checking.

My rears were refurbed by the dealer before I purchased but were still replaced as good will guesture and it as an approved used car. Don't let them off the hook, although you may need to get the deler you purchased off involved to get this resolved. After all it's not you fault the dealer refurned the wheels and you purchased an approved car.

I had mine replaced twice from new. First set after 12 months the second set 37 months. I reported it at 35 months.

Been in contact with styner, sent them some pictures, there looking into it and will get back to me tomorrow.
