108 rims for sale - Sold

Just posted re "New Boots" on the newbie forum. I now have a set of 108's that are surplus to requirements.

I was going to put them on the Bay but as they are in good condition I thought I would give someone on the forum first refusal.

I am open to offers as I am new to the forum and have never sold wheels before.

They were last reconditioned in Feb this year when I got the car. They were done via Vines in Guildford. Three of the wheels are unmarked. The fourth has a small split in the paint / lacquer near the centre and a slight rub on the rim. It is not kerb damage. I have tried to show all this in the pics. They are in really good nick inside and out.

I have centre caps for them but these could do with replacing to bring them up to the standard of the rims.

I am in South West London. PM me if you are interested.

If you want more pics I can supply

Thanks for looking

If you have boxes for them and you're OK with me booking a courier to collect I'd like to offer £275.

I assume the outer rim is lacquered?

Arrived... not so safely :( the courier had managed to rip through the cardboard and bubble wrap and catch the edge on one of them. Not too bad though, as to be expected I guess.

One of the wheels has also been welded (twice, in different places), god know if it'll balance correctly, the welds haven't been grinded down at all. You should have definitely mentioned that :(

Rich,

Tried to call you but you didn't pick up. I am sorry to say this is news to me regarding the wheels.

The damage caused by the courier is not down to me, I packaged them as discussed above. The courier even commented that they were better packaged than most he had seen.

As for the welding once again this is news. These wheels came off a car that was supplied to me by a main dealer in Guildford. They had had the wheels completely refurbished before the sale. Also the wheels were swapped over for me to the 107's by a reputable tyre centre. I am not a mechanic and none of these people mentioned anything about the welding. I didnt mention it to you because I didn't know about it

If I had thought these wheels were "potentially dangerous" I would not have sold them to you or anyone else. Bearing in mind that I have been driving round on them for the past 5 months!

You have my number feel free to call or PM me if you want to discuss further.

OK guys, lynch mob not needed, we're sorted. Gavin does genuinely seem concerned, he'll just have to stop packing wheels with his eyes closed :P

There's little either of us could have done with the courier damaging the alloy, it looks like a worker was particularly tired that day, dragging the alloy on it's edge across concrete by the looks of it.

I shall be scouring ebay for the next few weeks. If anyone has a good condition, spare rear (oh err!) then please let me know :)
