108 refurb help

I have bought an additional set of 108’s to refurb as I like the look of the anthracite centre with diamond lip. Unfortunately my local shop doesn’t do split rims! Has anyone used lepsons in Gillingham? They have good reviews, came back to me promptly and have quoted £410 which seems reasonable.
I am in Worthing so about an hour and a half away from me.
Thanks

I've not used them but I'm sure I have read positive feedback about them.

If you are feeling brave you could always try splitting them yourself!

another person that has not used lepsons, but have read lots of good reviews on forums.

I've got a set of 108s that I would have liked to refurbish, but the places I asked didn't want to go to the effort of polishing the outer rim. they all preferred to powder coat the whole wheel after splitting them.

:o That's cheap they used to charge £600 here's a few picks in this album

Thanks for the replies, yes their price seems reasonable if it’s a good job of course. I plan to take them to Lepson in a couple of weeks so I will post how they come back.

I am also in the same boat and need my 108s refurbished asap, will call Lepsons tomorrow morning and see what they quote me. Thinking of going ferric grey centre and polished lip.

Update:

Spoke to lepsons, basically, it costs £638 to do standard colours (can be different) or £20 more for a precise paint match to any colour code, for a set of 4 wheels.

That cost bumps to £866 for OEM like refurb which is BMW Titan silver centre and barrel and then diamond cut lip. Prices include VAT and 4 tyre refit, balance ect.

How on earth did you get £400? haha

That’s a worry! They emailed me the quote after I ran through what I wanted. I am just supplying the wheels without tyres so that would reduce the cost but not to that amount. I planned to drive over to Gillingham but will run through with them before I do.

Had an email back, my quote was for a single piece wheel not split rim ( which I did say split rim) it’s now £615 painted with diamond cut without tyre removal or fitting. Need to check if that’s to powder coat as well.it’s about what I reckoned but as it’s a 2nd set I may try and split myself or look at alternative wheels maybe CSL reps.

Yeah that's more like it, and it would be powdercoat at that sort of price. The one thing putting me off diamond cut is that I drive my car all year around and don't want the risk of a small stone chip damaging the clear coat and then having my outer rim go milky once moisture goes inside...

So I ll probably do Powdercoat all around in either BMW Titan Silver for both pieces or have the centre slightly darker (BMW Ferric Grey maybe?).

Yes I think the darker centres would look good. I rarely use my car it sits in the garage most of the time so the diamond edge should last a while. Although you are right about the rim going cloudy. The set I bought to refurb had been in a garage for 7 years their not bad but a couple have gone all splintered and cloudy round the edges.
I like the look of 108’s but they do seem a bit of a liability.

You'd be fine in that case.

This is the colour scheme I am tempted to do:
