OK... I must be doing something wrong.

Walk up to car, key in pocket, touch under the handle, car opens, get in and drive off - awesome

Get out of the car, touch same spot, nothing happens. I thought it was supposed to lock itself?

Then, wash car with jet washer, get water spray under the door handle, car locks itself.
Hmm, what's going on here then.
Try again with my hand, no success.

Ahh...

Its at the rear of the handle...

Im sure you can just walk upto the car and as long as your close enough, just open the car... dont have to mess about just go for the handle, but when you exit the "lines" have to be touched..

It's one of those things, I tried it once or twice, but then forgot about reading up on it... next time I thought about it was when I was getting back in, then forgot to check it again ...

I tend to do that, too much going on in my brain during the day, then outside of work it turns into mush !!

In my defence it took so long as I was waiting for my confirmation email so I could upload the video.

Worked out that if you hold down the unlock or lock buttons the roof opens/closes yet?

Completely OT but related to the picture now our local has closed I can park my car there over night without it getting vandalised by drunken yobs :D

Yes I figured that one out pretty much straight away.

One thing I would like is double click open and able to do mirrors too - not sure I want the SmartTop module though... think there is also another cheaper option. I'd also like remote start  but that's a gimmick I can live without

I've not got folding mirrors because when I ordered it was auto-dipping w/folding and I HATE auto-dipping mirrors. The auto-dipping rear view mirror is bad enough.

If by auto dipping you mean dipping the passenger mirror when reversing, this only happens if you have the mirror switch set to the drivers mirror side.
If its set to the passenger side the mirror doesnt dip down.

No that electro-chromatic glass so you don't get dazzled. HATE the stuff spend my life looking over my shoulder when it's dark because I can't see what's actually happening.

I have all those options and I love them, really helps as my eyes are sensitive to bright light

My problem is I have very good light sensitivity and brightness acuity. This results in me being able to see various fringing & diffraction effects caused by electro-chromatic glass. So what you see as a nicely dimmed image I see as a darkish noise covered image. However, I can deal with intense (rather than bright) light sources better than most people so in a normal glass mirror I can pick out details in the darker parts that other people can't.
