07 BMW Z4 Business CD skipping with bumps

Just got a CPO'd Z4, whos CD skips, I got 1500 dollar quotes for it, from some dealers, but FREE from the dealer I got it from... odd or does that make sense?
I thought guarantees were the same everywhere... no matter what facility you go for.


Also I am thinking, is there a HU that you guys know of that is compatible with the phone and dialing of the MFSW?
 
cmdeane, Welcome to the forum. Shame your first post is to report a problem.

Agree that binning the run flat tyres helps with the CD player. Does it skip all the time? The lense might need to be cleaned, and you can buy special cleaning CDs for that....

In order of likelihood of skipping: Most--- MP3 CDRW; MP3 CDR; Burned Music CD; Commercial CD. ---Least. For burned discs, also depends on how well computer's write laser is aligned, as well as quality of media, and burn speed.
