    ZHP?

Browsing the bay as you do, and this looks like the ZHP? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-M-TECH-6-SPEED-LEATHER-GEAR-KNOB-E36-E46-E60-E82-E87-E90-E92-E93-Z4-M1-M3-M5-/251069754660?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3AZ4&hash=item3a74ec6d24#ht_500wt_1413 However, I think the genuine...

    Z4 on 'Motorway Patrol'

Guy caught doing 146kph in a 100kph limit in New Zealand: http://www.itv.com/itvplayer/video/?Filter=315985 (skip to 16:48).

    Soft Top Care

This is a guide on how to care for your Z4 soft top. The Z4 soft is what's called a 'mohair' roof - ie. it's fabric rather than vinyl. If you previously owned a fabric roofed car, you already know what to do. If you've owned a Vinyl roof before, don't use the same products - they won't work...

    More bluetooth

I've got a problem with my bluetooth, it works well enough if I dial from the phone. However, if I scan through the phone's directory after a short while the connection is lost and the head unit claims there is no phone. 30 seconds or so later the phone is back and connected. So it all works...

    Custom routes in sat nav

When driving for fun I like to go places I haven't been - but with a specific route in mind. Choices normally are pretty much map and try to remember all of the junctions, or rely on the sat nav and end up down some muddy narrow lane. Stumbled on this though: http://www.tyretotravel.com/ Works...

    Z4 OEM Xenon Colour

I'm going to feed my inner andysat ( ) and question the colour of my OEM Xenons. They seem distinctly yellow like standard H7s rather than the tasty blue of a Xenon light: Washers would imply Xenon. Are BMW using dimmer bulbs with a diff colour temp so I don't blind everyone on the road...

    Official Stubby

While being a bit sad and checking the BMW Direct ebay account, I stumbled on this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-Genuine-Sports-Rod-Short-Phone-Radio-Aerial-Antenna-105mm-65202179726-/180769911427?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2a16b9f283#ht_1996wt_1344 Genuine BMW stubby!

    Test Drive - 3.0si owners!

Just took a 3.0si for a test drive - tasty car! Felt more sure-footed than mine despite running on RFTs, and the gear change was noticeably more substantial than the 2.0. Condition was great, as far as under the bonnet / interior / wheels go. Only thing that came up was when maneuvering at slow...

    Most interesting...

While browsing ebay I stumbled across something, a set of photos that looked remarkably familiar - in fact I even saved these photos to my PC when I first saw them in Aug 2010 (I kid you not). Here's the listing...

    Door handle fell off

So I opened up the door and the handle felt a little loose. Pull the door open again and, well, pulled the handle clean out of the door: I've kind of slotted the handle back in, but it's clearly not attached to anything substantial. Anyone have a guide on how I put it back together properly?

Vredestein Owners! Or people with a good ear...

First of all, awesome, awesome tyres. Anyone thinking about the change... stop thinking! Do it! Now that's over and the doubters are off ordering their tyres - I've got maybe a caveat that will add fuel to the RFT debate. On the drive home today I noticed an odd sound coming from the passenger...

    Numberplate EU flag colour

I got some plates made up for a trip over to the continent. While ordering there was a choice of dark blue or light blue. Since the flag itself is dark blue I went with the dark blue colour. However I've noticed that almost all the cars on the road with EU plates have the light blue background...

    Sealed the roof (piccies)

Well it took two days all things considered, but the result is awesome. My roof badly needed a good bit of TLC since I bought the car, especially the area at the back that is hidden away when the roof is up. The canvas was completely black, except for that area, and to be honest I thought Renovo...

    Brodit

I'm trying to install a brodit for my sat nav and I really hope I'm missing something. I've got the angled 'ProClip' and an adaptor for my sat nav (Navigon). In my possession I have two large pieces of plastic and 4 screws... surely you aren't meant to just screw the adaptor straight into the...

    Head unit connections

Hoping someone here is experienced with this :tumbleweed: The aux input on my headunit wasn't working, so I had a few spare minutes to spend inspecting the connections. I pulled out the headunit and followed the cable from the aux port to a large black 'junction' where a lot of cables were...

    OEM Headunit - Mp3 & Aux

OK I'm probably missing something really stupid but... my stereo won't play mp3s, and it won't work with aux input. It's the black one ('07 Z4), and there's a little 3.5mm aux port facing down as mentioned in the manual. I burned a load of mp3s to a CD, but the unit refuses to play anything...
