Decided to check my cabin filter today. Took about 1 minute to remove. Filter looked as if it had been in there since new, 8 years! Was absolutely rotten and stacked up with leaves. New filter from GSF £10.47, fitted in 2 mins. Might be worth checking.

DISA out and cleaned last week, CDV removed this morning. Pretty easy to do, gaining access is the most aggro. Made the mistake of not clamping the hose, pissed fluid, requiring a clutch bleed, but easy to do and took 5 mins. I think it was hotride that suggested loosening the small nut first...

1 x runflat & 1 x non runflat, both Bridgestones, the RFT is an RE050A the non RFT is an RE040. Both have loads of tread left, around 5mm I would say. Got to be worth £40 each. Pick up only.......tyres in Northampton, although can drop to Essex at weekends. Cheers Lance.

Hi all Have just returned from the Nurburgring for my first trip in the Z4 and with newly fitted Vredsteins. Journey down was in some of the worst rain I've driven in, with the last 50 ish miles on some excellent twisty roads. The tyres were fautless, not a squirm or slide anywhere :thumbsup...

Had these fitted today, non runflats of course. Only driven home on them, however it's immediately obvious that the ride is smoother and nowhere near as 'crashy', tramlining and fidgety steering has also disappeared. Will be doing around 1000 miles next weekend, including some track stuff...

Took about 15 minutes per corner and a really simple job. Tools needed, jack, wheel brace, 9mm ring spanner. Also needed, Something to drain old fluid, bottle of new brake fluid and some cloth, oh and a helper for the brake pumping. Give it a go if yours is due, better than paying the dealer!

First trip in the Z4, 16th - 19th October..........track opening times not too good, but should be able to get a few laps of the GP circuit in as well. Don't suppose anyone else is about? Lance
