i have not driven the car for 4 month payed £280 tax yesterday ,woke up early this morning looking forward to a nice long drive,
get round the corner and hear this rattle look in the boot thinking i might of left a spanner in there saw nothing,
then remembered dodgy springs and there it was :headbang:
has anybody tried or heard of Sachs Coil Spring , are they any good £80 from euro car parts for a pair.
or if someone has a newish set of springs ie changed to Eibach's and no longer needed and would like to sell them.
cheers GT

I'd steer clear of the eurocarparts ones. A few guys on here have tried them and instantly turned their Z4's into off road vehicles.

cheers ,does anyone know of any other brands other then Eibach that are good dont really want to lower the car as it scraps on the drive as it is .
cheers GT

Suplex do good quality replacement springs for all variants of the Zed. Next day postage service as well. Rears £110/120 a pair including VAT and postage.
Contact SuplexUK based in Sheffield.

Sachs is a recognised brand available from many outlets. Anschler is euro budget range.

I have fitted 2 x rear Sachs springs last month. No problems

:driving:

cheers ubas think that`s what im going for £65 for a pair with CAR PARTS 4 LESS
i was a bit worried that the car might sit like a 4x4 if i used non oem parts :D

Just fitted a pair of Sachs rear springs to the gfs mums 2.5 zed. Didn't pay any attention to ride hight at the time as they'll need to settle. Will get a pic soon though.

I have Sachs as rear spring.

I dont have any problem with them but they look really bad.

The car is too high and it feels like a boat.

I want to change all springs and dampers with a b12 Blistein Kit.

Can genuine bmw rear springs still be purchased? I've got to order a pair of them but don't want to be ordering non oem if I'm going to end up with the car higher than it already is

You need to ascertain if you have standard factory suspension or M Sport suspension on your car.

yea but they are poor quality ,they have a tendency to snap and they cost over a £100 each, get Eibach springs about £200 for a pair so same price as the bmw ones ,but better quality and you can lower them to the hight you want, i would of bought them but did not have £200

I have the standard suspension unfortunately. I want the eibachs too but I'm the same and don't really have the £200 :( I've been putting off buying anything because I don't want to buy a rubbish pair & have an increased ride height
