FS: Complete Sat Nav pack! E85/86

Looks like it's all there... But it's an rather rubbish nav OEM system and maybe slightly over priced! :)

Don't PM me it's nothing to do with me .. Just searching the bay :)

That's not cheap! I have this in my z4, but I certainly wouldn't spend that much on a system so outdated.

I think the seller will be lucky to sell it at that price.

Andrew.

Does appear to be all there and not to bad price wise. Cost me about £600 to retrofit back in 2008.

Spoke to the bloke on the phone the other day. Nice chap, I reckon if you asked nice enough he'd throw the dash in too so you didn't have to cut yours..

Crazy price. I'd have maybe retro fitted sat nav a year or two back for ~£500. Currently it's too expensive and outdated. If anything I'd be going for a broken sat nav screen for less than £100 and then do he whole android tablet integration.

Why is it a crazy price? Just the screen new from a dealer is around £1800. The best discounted price I got from Sopers when mine went pop was just over £1600. This has headunit, nav and dvd drive including all wires. If it works that’s a great price!

While I love the integration that the system provides if I went down that route now I'd not pay more than £250 for the kit. Lot of work and of course dated system.

If I were doing it from scratch I'd buy a screen housing and use it to install a current generation LCD display and drive it from something aftermarket. Bet I could do a real neat setup for way less than £800

See cj10jeeper's reply.

Don't get me wrong, it's good value compared to dealer prices (isn't everything!?), it's just not worth it now. You're paying £600 for something that pales in comparison to several other cheaper alternatives.

Thats what I am saying. It isn't a crazy price compared to new for everything you get (it will set you back £3,000ish which is mental!) especially if you want to keep your car oem and not mess around with modifying.

For some cars, it might be the difference between saleable and not.

A flimper spec car might be worth significantly less than a fully specced one, so the money is than perhaps not so bad :D

You'd have to be bananas to spend that much on a 9 year old sat nav setup. You could buy a £100 2013 TomTom and a new set of wheels, or a brand new iPhone 5s with Google Maps and have about £300 left over.

Optimistic pricing strategy. For that price I'd want a digital/hybrid TV tuner and a bluetooth module included in the package too!
