Anyone heard of Plasti Dip?

Yep - you don't realise how high the wear is until you do it. I use mine every day and the plastidip lasted maybe a month, 6 weeks at most. I had them painted locally, but as he didn't use a matte lacquer even that had now gone shiny... And scratched. However. It won't take much to have the done again now they've had all the plastic crap removed.

Yeah i'd imagine normal paint would wear to a shine pretty quickly. I wonder what other solutions there are for the steering wheel.

Srhutch has done his in matte paint / lacquer - think he mentioned it above. Might last longer, being matte AT&T the way through :?

Don't forget, use glossifier and don't use clear coat on the dip, it will peel easily. Kinda handy for road trips and pain protection.
I see it as a temporary protective film with some room for fun. Not intended to be a flawless finish anyway.

Peeled it all off within the hour after a roadtrip. I think it was about 50-60 pounds worth of plastidip max to get done. (sterling grey car :-))
