Doesn't matter what we think. If the niche sale has been identified and they have the platform to build it on then it will appear.

Not harmed Porsche to build the Cayenne or to a lesser extent the highly successful BMW ranges or Audi, etc. and of course don't forget RR that outlived it's parent saloon car.

Not a fan myself, looks a bit Cortina estate, but as said... The market will e there if they're building it :|

oooh, chavtastic... coming to a primary school near you no doubt...

Another car for the WAG and "fashion" crowd...

I think it looks hideous, at the moment if you want a luxury 4x4 there is only the Range Rover, so I can see why they would want to offer an alternative that's going to be 50% more expensive.

not a looker based on that pic, but the current bentley range is 4x4 and drives really well so its fair to assume that this will too. Its no worse than the ugly porker. Im sure lots of them will be painted white and sold to the middle east, and it may even help them to sell more units in the US, in the US being an ugly car appears to have little or no detriment to its sales.

It really is ugly though, looking through all the pics it seems to have no common design language or identity - from some angles it looks like a squished and blinged range rover, the centre console inside is just weird, the front lights look like some kind of jet engine/warp drive set up and the lines on the body are all over the place. It is properly a mess, and that's a bit strange from a company like Bentley.

It looks remarkably dated if you ask me, I think it might be the thick silver around the windows and the "hips" over the rear wheel arches

I saw it at Geneva last year and let me tell you that in the flesh this things is...........

EVEN WORSE THAN IN PICTURES!........ It is haaauuuuuuggggeeeee which just draws attention to it's awkward, duckbilled platypus of a car stylings. It will sell well to the nouveau riche who are almost completely devoid of taste. I feel the marketing towards this group has already begun as the news report on Bentleys intention to build this in the UK stated "it will be the biggest, most powerful and most expensive SUV on the market". What more can you say?

Also worth saying that the stand that had this and only this thing on it at Geneva constantly had a massive crowd. Not sure if it was due to it being a freak show or there were a lot of blind people in attendance.

Isn't this just an ugly body on a Continental chassis and drive train?

Andi.

A bit like Jordan :D

Bet she gets one, with blacked out windows, in pink...

its not going to be an issue on the family car replacement shortlist discussion - what are they saying the price will be ?

Can't stand the looks but as I was educated in Crewe - really glad they have been chosen to build it. I believe the production version will look radically different to the prototype .

Based on the next Q7/ current Cayenne I believe, I read that research showed that a massive % of Bentley owners also own an SUV- probably another British Marque I Imagine in most cases. So it makes sense particularly as it slots in above the new RR.
