Range Rover Evoque

Breaker

Lifer
Since driving an Evoque when they came out, I can't get the niggle out of my mind I may like to own one!
I saw a fantastically spec'd version the other day at health club I was working at. All black, 20" gunmetal grey wheels, red bucket sport seats and what looked like all the toys including a body-kit.

Similar to this one but with matte gun metal wheels.

I went home and spec'd one up similar.

I stopped when the price hit £50,000!!!! :o

Maybe I'll wait until more hit the second hand market then! :P

Would like to get one for the wife and me to play in when it is snowing, but lot of money when there is plenty of its bigger brothers around cheeper.!! :(

One of our cars is a Range Rover so I was invited to the launch.I must admit I think they are awful. That back window is far too small.

We thought of one for SWMBO but to be honest I'm glad we didn't mpg figures are pretty poor on them and when you look how the new full fat has gone the evoque looks overdesigned. A second hand RRS is a much better bet .

I agree, £25K can get you a good pre owned Sport

I like them, see loads around, but I would only want the petrol turbo one with all the kit, so far too expensive.

Best looking 4x4 by an absolute mile. But same image problem as the majority of them

Ten a penny now as well. I must see 10 a day on average. If I was to buy a Land Rover it would be a Defender first, a Disco second and I wouldn't get any further than that.

Having owned a fairly recent 90 they seem great in theory but are pretty hard work on a daily basis... But twisteds are cool

i really like the styling on these but i think price against its rivals would make me go towards an x6 instead

Great car but it is looking a bit barge like and dated these days in my opinion.

Agreed. I hate the fact that you seem to be pushed up against the door when driving them!

I have very strong opinions on this and need to bite my lip to prevent a rant that will offend anyone.

All I will say is that this and the X6 are disgusting objects that offend my highly sensitive design sensibilities.

 I concur!

As a colleague said recently - V Beckham couldn't design a paper bag let alone a car...

Have you driven either of them or just going by pictures?

For the record, I think the same way about the 1st gen Z4 roadster looks wise! The Z4 never entered my radar until the Coupe came out!

Shows how we are all different I guess. :P

I am biased and I've never liked any kind of 4x4 soft roader thing. Personally cant see the point in them.

Indeed and a good thing too

I've never driven an X6 but I've been a passenger in the front and rear. There is a total lack of headroom in the back. I'm struggling to think of a more pointless and pig ugly car on sale at the moment.
