Z4-Forum INSURANCE scheme with CHRIS KNOTT :: 0800 917 2274

I didn't realise there was a minimum age of 30, I ended up insuring with someone else anyway purely because I got fed up of nobody answering the phone at Chris Knotts. You'd think they would put some manpower behind answering phones that form what is presumably their main revenue stream....new quotations. God help you if you need to get through when you expect them to pay money out for a claim, that's my thinking anyway.

It's a shame I could not get them to find my 2004 z4 alpina roadster S in their system, and am having to phone around other insurers :(

Hi
My apologies for being away from the forums for so long. We have had a few internal changes.

March is a very busy month for insurance renewals so please feel free to ring us if your car insurance is due for renewal in the next few weeks.

In 2010, we recorded an average saving of 10.5% off our new customers quotes elsewhere and we have just had an extremely good first 2 months of the year – surpassing our target by quite a vast amount!

In fact, we were already two thirds to our February target a quarter of the way through the month!

It is great to see people ringing us up but we would like every possible person who fits the criteria to at least ring us on the freephone number and hopefully see the benefits that so many other people are seeing.

Please phone on 0800 917 2274 or 01424 200477 for mobiles and don’t forget to quote the club reference number found in my signature below.

Also, please can you give me your feedback regarding the quote on here as we see so little feedback compared to the number of people who ring us for a quote!
The figures show a good number of people ringing but only a handful ever post!

Hi new to forum and planning on selling by motorcycle and purchasing a Z4 coupe. I've got 5yrs NCD on a sportsbike is it possible to use this or part of it towards Z4 car insurance? Cheers, Douglas

Have to say that I wasn't overly impressed with my renewal notice from your good selves. Another year older another year wiser, no claims etc and my premium has increased by £100.

The very helpful lady on telephone said it was all to do with accident management claims, fraud etc etc.

Is it me or do all insurance companies offer competitive premiums for a few years and then bump it up? This seems to have happened so many times over the years............Loyalty seems to count for nothing.

Looks like I will be shopping around tonight. :x

Hi

Whilst the insurance market seems to have hardened over the last 12 months or so, we have always worked hard on our customer service and it’s nice to see comments on the forums of people being satisfied with our efforts. We endeavour to assist customers to our utmost and trust this is a major reason why people renew with us year after year.

Bearing this in mind, please feel free to contact us for a quotation on your car (and home!) insurance when they are due. We would be more than happy to quote for you.

I have used CK insurance for nearly 15 years. I have just purchased a Z4 s35i (9 months old with 2500 miles on the clock and incidentally, WOW! I love it). I used to drive an SLK280 and so phoned CK when I knew I was going to swop to the BMW last week. At first they told me that they couldn't insure me??????? (44yo / 10 years no claims / no accidents / no points on my licence / 15 years loyalty?????). They then (very kindly!) phoned me back. they had changed their minds and gave me a quote way way above other quotes I had got. Very sad that they even said that I couldn't use the Ref. 866 as I had already logged being part of a Mercedes SLK Owners forum 2 years previous.

It's a shame this is my first post and I'm being a little annoyed/frustrated but seriously? Why is this Company even being given the airspace by a forum that in all other aspects seems to be totally unbiased?

The car is simply amazing!! Keep looking for excuses to go out in it. It's sooo much better than the SLK 280 in all respects except slightly less better on the MPG, but then it's just been reduced by 1p - so who cares!!!! lol

By way of a postcript, I went away and shopped around trying loads of different companies including the ones on the forum leader board. Much to my surprise the only quote that could beat my renewal with Chris Knott was Adrian Flux but that was with a higher excess. Some of the others were nearly double my renewal.

In the end Chris Knott got my business again. Slightly happier for having tried, and yes the staff are a cut above the rest of some of the other Dorks I dealt with (still waiting for one to comeback with confirmation of what impact suspension mods will have on quote!), but I will shop around and follow the market more closely next year................

The next edition of our interactive online magazine is due out this month. We already have a lot of subscribers but if you aren’t and you’d like to be added to the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word SUBSCRIBE in the subject field.

Same here. I sent my details to Chris Knott, and a guy called me two days later that they couldn't match the renewal quote from morethan. I'm now with Allianz.

Can you insure non residents (full Uk licence, clean and held for 24 years) as a named driver on a UK car, owned and registered in a family members name?
