Falken FK-452 or Hankook V12?

Hey guys so after buying my Z4 I want to get rid of the runflats right away. I'm wondering if anyone has experience with both of these tires to help me decide betwen these two. You can also mention another tire if you think it's a better option, thanks.

Fitted 452 a few weeks ago & very impressed ! Usally would never use cheap Tyres but like you wanted rid of RFT's . So far can't fault them. They don't have rim protectors so just don't hit any curbs ! Lol

Well I'm from rural Newfoundland, Canada so we don't even have curbs lol, so uness I take it into the city I shouldn't have a problem with that :)

Same experience, the Falken seems to suit the Z, grips well but not sure how they will wear - but hey, at that price

Switched to 452's from Bridgestone RF's a few weeks ago and it has transformed the car. Excellent grip and the crashing has disappeared.
Not sure about wear rate, but as my Z only does 3 - 3.5k mile a year, I'm not concerned

So I've been reading that the Falkens get extremely noisy after a little wear, can anoyone confirm? If I was goin to pay more what would be a better option than both of the tires I mentioned?

thats ok , hankooks are noisy from the off

+1 for Vredestein

Ride quality is much better, the car now rides bumps and rough surfaces rather than skipping across the road. Wet grip has improved too.

Weird, everywhere I've read said Hankooks were a lot quieter..have you tired both of these?

Do you mean much better compared to runflats or Falkens?

I have just ordered a new set of wheels with Bridgestone Potenza S001, after all the research I did, they seemed to be the best. (Wet grip was a priority for me.)

Tyre noise depends on lots of factors many of which will be unique to your car including the condition of the suspension, bushes and wheel alignment. I ditched perfectly good Pirellis from a Merc because they howled like a rear wheel bearing was going and it returned later with Avons. Replaced some worn bushes and all was quiet.

Nothing will be a noisy as the Bridgstone RFTs who's super-stiff sidewalls provide no damping, It's not a factor I should worry about and I'm sure any non-RFT will be quieter.
